Chemical Peel |
|
Dr. Robert Lowen is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an experienced laser surgeon offering laser hair removal in the Silicon Valley.
Many people hear the term “chemical peel” and make two wrong assumptions. First, they think this treatment actually peels away the skin. Second, they think that “chemical” means something extremely harsh or even toxic. Neither is true. Chemical peels do not peel away anything; they simply dissolve and exfoliate the uppermost layer of the epidermis, revealing a new layer of rejuvenated skin. And the most commonly used peel solutions today—the alpha-hydroxy (AHA) acid found in citric fruit and the glycolic acid found in sugar cane—are anything but harsh. In fact, you can undergo a chemical peel during your lunch break and return to work that very afternoon without anybody being the wiser. (Although you might get comments about how much “healthier” you look.) This isn’t to say that anybody can do a chemical peel procedure. As with any procedure involving your skin, you need to be in the hands of a professional. Peels are used to treat a variety of skin conditions—fine lines, age spots and uneven pigmentation, acne and acne scarring—but which peel is right for your very particular skin situation is a decision you should make only with the help of someone experienced and knowledgeable about all the options available. Call today to schedule a skin consultation with a physician. You can safely assume your skin will thank you for it.

I first learned about SmartLipo when I called Dr. Lowen's office and his staff informed me about Smartlipo. I found that I was very interested in the procedure because I had this area that would just not seem to lose any weight. At first I was a little apprehensive about it since it is very new but then I noticed that it was mentioned in a few newspaper articles.
When I went to my appointment with Dr. Lowen it was explained in detail on what Smartlipo is...."little to no pain", very little down time PLUS it would tighten the area. That is what made me decide.
I had SmartLipo on my abdomen area on a Thursday morning and was fine that evening (you do have to take it very easy for the three days mentioned) but I could walk around with no pain. My abdomen feeling was sore (it felt like after doing stomach crunches for the first time). Also, I had no need to take any pain medication at all.
I had very good results immediately it has only been two weeks and I know it will just keep getting better. I have to mention that Dr. Lowen made me feel very comfortable and his staff are very friendly and warm. I am so happy that I don't have to "suck it in" ha-ha.
I am positive that if you chose to do Smartlipo you will not be disappointed!
Cheers,
P.S.

After treatment of my upper arms with Smartlipo MPX I went home and worked on my laptop. The next day I worked a full day. I never needed pain medication, not even an aspirin, and I'm one who feels every bit of pain. The procedure was straight-forward and easy, and I am very happy with the results.
I see huge improvement in my arms. They feel better in clothes, and it's an incredibly nice feeling. I have a photo of myself taken summer of 2007 where my left arm is reaching upwards. I loved the photo but hated how my upper arm looked so I paid someone $35 to carefully photoshop it so the ugly hanging fat was gone. I remember joking how paying a pro to doctor up a photo was way cheaper than paying a doctor for plastic surgery. But now I have everything because in pictures and in real life my arms look good and feel great. I can't wait for the warm weather to really show them off.
Today I did a boot-camp style workout in a gym class. It was a wonderful feeling in every way.
An added benefit: you'll love Dr. Lowen's staff. They are the best!
